TGA Updates Advertising Guidelines for Cosmetic Medicine in Australia
The TGA has now banned terms like "anti-wrinkle injections" and "dermal fillers," as well as the advertisement of price lists, before and after photos, and any public information about prescription-only medications. Therefore, we have updated our booking system and removed such information from our website and social media. Treatment details, pricing, and before and after photos can only be shared during a face-to-face consultation with Pania.
Since the TGA considers business names as advertisements, we've also changed our name to "Meraki Cosmedic" from Pania Cosmetic Nurse. Despite these changes, Pania continues to offer the same treatments she has for the past decade. If you have any booking questions due to the new guidelines, please contact us for assistance. I am a registered nurse with over 10 years of experience in cosmetic and aesthetic nursing, focused on giving my patients natural-looking results. I started in the beauty industry in 1996 with a Diploma in Beauty Therapy. I've worked in day spas, dermal clinics, on cruise liners, and as a beauty representative, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to my role in cosmetic nursing.
I completed an Advanced Diploma in Health Science (Aesthetics Therapy) with the University of New England and earned my Bachelor of Nursing in 2010. I also hold a Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessing and currently teach in the beauty industry at TAFE Western Sydney. I've had the opportunity to work with industry leading doctors and nurses, gaining valuable practical experience. I love combining skincare with advanced cosmetic treatments to achieve the best outcomes for my patients.
I work in salons in Woollahra, Chatswood, Merrylands, and Rooty Hill, and I enjoy spending my free time with my family.
